Starting January 1, 2008 Robby Shares His Experience On His Quest To Lose 100 Lbs.

Checking In…

Hi Fat and Fit Fans…

You know, I’ve got some really wonderful people following my
blog postings.  When I don’t blog on a regular basis, they send me emails,
making sure I am staying on track.

I just want to say Thank You for your encouragement and support.

This weight loss project and journey is no doubt my most challenging
thing in my life right now.

We had a few personal health matters in our family
this past week so time has been shorter than usual.
Plus we had another friend that was diagnosed with
advanced brain cancer. Please say a prayer for Carol
and my Vickie…It’s been a tough week

I have been working out  a little bit, and not as much as I should.
And haven’t been tracking all my stats daily.

As most of you know, I am a musician and will be performing
in San Francisco May-22-25 down town at the Hilton…
If your in the area stop by and say hello…

I will try to posting from the road…

Happy Mothers Day Poem…

Hi Fat and Fit Fans,

I did work out today for 45 minutes…

But what I’d really like to share today is a mothers day poem…

A Mother’s Way

A mother is protective, when bad is near…
She watches over, til the danger is clear,

A mother’s love, knows no bounds,
She stays up late, just to hear their sounds,

A mother will hold you, when you’re sad,
She’ll rub your tummy, til you feel glad,

A mother’s job, is to help them grow,
She also teaches, they’ll reap what they sow,

A mother’s journey, a life long ride,
It is her children, to whom she is tied,

A mother will hug you, for no reason at all,
Out of the blue, you feel ten feet tall,

A mother encourages, and says you can do it,
Her children trust, she will help them through it,

A mother disciplines, when they go astray,
So when they grow up, they’ll be ok,

A mother is, a spiritual light,
That God trusted, to guide their sight,

A mother does, so many things,
It’s beautiful to see, when she spreads her wings,

They’re so important, we give them a day,
And that day is called, Mother’s Day !

Have a Blessed Day!

Anyway, I got off track again, but I’m getting
back on the horse, again!

Yesterday Scott Sanchez, Olympic Trainer from
Maui Hawwaii came to Las Vegas again. He was
here in town about a month and a half ago. Scott was
here this time for some other personal business.
However, we met for dinner and he kicked my ass,
with love…

Bottom line, I have not been consistent with
my workouts and food choices. Plus, I stopped
calling in to report my results and or challenges.
No accountability.

I’ve been blaming other things for distracting me.

Scott trains world champions and for the most part
rarely if ever does he work with someone like myself,
a non-professional athlete….

So our conversation came down to this:
Daily Patterns, Habbits, Achievable Goals and Food Choices…

Scott said, “For starters we need to pull back the reigns
and set some achievable goals. Don’t think about losing
100 pounds and or climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.”

“Let’s start with small success and build upon them.
Start with committing to working out at least 15 minutes
a day 6 days a week. Let’s starting building some
patterns of success. Then we can expand upon them”

Then I asked, how do I handle the fact that I told
people I was going to lose 100 pounds by August 2008
and then climb Mt. Kilimanjaro…

Scott said, just tell people that ask, that I made a
promise that I could not keep at this time.

I thought by telling people about my big goal it would help
me to stay on track. well, it hasn’t helped.

About Food Choices:
Scott says I have 2 choices when it comes to eatting:
Is the food healing or poison?

Will this food help heal my body or posin it?
Those are the choices…

So where am I now?
Yes, I am back on the horse to gain my health back.
I went to the gym and worked out today.
Yes, I still desire to lose this 100 pounds and better.
It just may take longer than I had planned.

Mt. Kilimanjaro?
Yes I still would like to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro
but I can’t and shouldn’t even think about this until
I lose at least 100 pounds…

THat’s all for now.
