			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;ve been away from my blog posting for quite a while. I had<br />
some injuries to my right ankle and then my left knee. It&#8217;s been<br />
a unique couple of months&#8230;</p>
<p>In short I have not been exercising at all.</p>
<p>Three weeks ago&#8230;<br />
I had some other medical symptoms that lead me to go a get<br />
prostate exam and then some other tests&#8230;</p>
<p>I got all the results back on Friday from all the tests I took.<br />
Additionally, I got some news from those test I wasn&#8217;t expecting.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll post early next week about my results but I need a couple days<br />
to rap my head around it&#8230;</p>
<p>Bottom line&#8230;Life is taking a new direction.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Hello Fat and Fit Fans,</strong></p>
<p><strong>I&#8217;ve been skinny and I&#8217;ve been fat</strong>&#8230;and guess what?<br />
Skinny weighs less!</p>
<p>That sayying, when you&#8217;re a big guy there is more to love&#8230;<br />
I now know is a crop of crap!</p>
<p><strong>This is definitly a journey. I have tried</strong> all sorts of diets<br />
but nothing has really stuck. Actually, more specifically,<br />
it is me that has not stuck&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>I can&#8217;t blame the diets because</strong> they all work if you work them.<br />
It&#8217;s me that has not kept with the programs.</p>
<p><strong>When I decide to try this once again</strong> on January 1, 2008 I was trying<br />
to think what has to be different. <strong>What do I have to do differently</strong> this time<br />
to accomplish my goal of  lossing 100 pounds this year.</p>
<p><strong>Well from Day 1 I said to my girlfriend</strong> Vickie the two things I believe<br />
I need to implament into my diet this time is:<br />
<strong>1. Being More Accountable and<br />
2. Planning on Distractions.</strong></p>
<p>So the idea of publicly blogging my Weightloss Journey was <strong>one way<br />
to keep more accountable.</strong></p>
<p>This has been a very humbling expierence. But the fact of the matter is,<br />
blogging my results, good and not so good <strong>has help me to keep on track.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Have I been perfect on my diet choices so far?</strong><br />
Forgetaboutit!</p>
<p><strong>But I have made better food</strong> choices than I have in the past.<br />
Knowing that I am weighing in and postitng my weight loss<br />
and weigh gains has helped me in times of crossroads.</p>
<p><strong>Super Bowl Sunday I failed</strong>, But I got right back on.<br />
This week has also not been great for me, but Im still<br />
working out and blogging my progress.</p>
<p><strong>Which brings me to&#8230;#2</strong></p>
<p>It&#8217;s not a matter of if, but when&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Bottom line&#8230;</strong> challenges, problems and distractions in life<br />
show up. Sometime on a daily basis.</p>
<p>I knew when starting this journey January 1, 2008 I would have to<br />
plan better for these events, because I know&#8230;It&#8217;s not a matter of if but when<br />
these events show up.</p>
<p>And yes, even though I made an effort to become more aware of<br />
such events and how they may distract me from my path, I still<br />
get off track.</p>
<p><strong>An unexpected bill</strong> comes in and raises my stress level.<br />
I tend to eat more.<br />
<strong> Someone close to me gets sick&#8230;<br />
</strong>I tend to eat more.<br />
<strong>Vickie injured her eye</strong> and I got stressed.<br />
Yes, I ate more.</p>
<p>So, I am more aware of my eatting habbits and patterns<br />
but I have not mastered it yet. But I&#8217;m working on it!</p>
<p><strong>Awarness is the firt step, so at least I am more aware.</strong></p>
<p><strong>I was watching Opra</strong> and she had some diet guy on<br />
 and he said people use <strong>food as a sedative.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Bamm! It hit me right between the eyes!<br />
</strong>Yes, this is what I have been doing. I&#8217;ve been using food to<br />
medicate myself. Some peopl euse drugs, Coffee or Cigaretts.</p>
<p><strong>Me, I use food&#8230;Hmmm.</strong></p>
<p>This was an excellent awareness.</p>
<p>I will have to sleep on that though and see how I can implament<br />
another action to replace the habbit of using food as a sedative.</p>
<p>I do know part of the answer is in planning for events to distract me<br />
and knock me off my path. <strong>Having an alternative choice in place.</strong></p>
<p>Ok, so I&#8217;ll pick just one thing that causes me stress&#8230;<br />
I&#8217;ll give that some thought and then finish this post&#8230;</p>
<p>I&#8217;m tired so Im going to bed&#8230;</p>
