<p><strong>DAY 9 -</strong> January 9, 2008</p>
<p><strong>Today I jumped put of bed again</strong> and went<br />
straight to the gym. It was on the cold side<br />
for Las Vegas&#8230;About 29 degrees this morning&#8230;</p>
<p>Anyway I went right to the tread mill&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>At about the 30 minute mark, I could feel</strong> the<br />
<strong>blisters</strong> on both my feet start to hurt again.<br />
That made walking the remaining 30 minutes a<br />
little painful&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Today I also worked out with some</strong> <strong>weights<br />
</strong>and also did 3 sets of stomach crunches&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>My trainer, Scott Sanchez is coming to town</strong><br />
tomorrow and we will be sitting down and<br />
creating a full detailed exercise plan.</p>

on a Goal Setting Workshop for the folks at my church.</strong><strong><strong>I had to be at the church for both</strong> services to<br />
announce it so I didn&#8217;t get the chance to go to<br />
the gym first thing in the morning&#8230;</p>
<p></strong><strong>My plan was to</strong> go the gym after The Goal Setting Workshop<br />
which was from 1-4.</p>
<p><strong>We had a small turn out</strong> but the seminar went well.<br />
I say we, and by that I mean, Vickie Pieper, my girl<br />
friend and me&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>By the time my workshop was over</strong>, I noticed my knee<br />
was bothering me and decided because I was on my feet<br />
for over 3 hours I will just weight in and not do any<br />
walking.  I had injured my knee a few months back and<br />
do not want to re-injure it&#8230;.</p>
<p><strong>I noticed&#8230;<br />
Being at church all day through me off my eating schedule&#8230;</strong><br />
By the time I had finished The Goal Setting Workshop I was<br />
starving. I was really hungry. I also realized <strong>I did not<br />
drink enough water through out the day. Big mistake!</strong></p>
<p>So I went to my gym to weighed in and was blown away that I<br />
had lost another 3.5 pounds!</p>
<p><strong>Then after weighing in</strong> went home to pick Vickie up and then<br />
we went to dinner&#8230;I had an orange juice and bowl of War Wanton soup.<br />
Plus about 5 large glasses of water&#8230;</p>
<p>So this morning I went to the gym and weighed in and<strong> I<br />
gained back 2.5 pounds.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Starting weight:</strong> 348.5<br />
<strong>Todays weight:</strong>   335.5</p>
<p>At first I was a bit shock of the weight gain&#8230;But I&#8217;ve been<br />
working hard at my eating and working out consistently.</p>
<p><strong>I started my diet and exercise on Tuesday January 1.</strong><br />
And it&#8217;s been 7 days I&#8217;ve lost 13 pounds. That&#8217;s still fantastic.</p>
<p><strong>I did have an extra food bar and orange. No JUNK FOOD.<br />
</strong>Besides that, I didn&#8217;t go off my diet so I&#8217;ll just have to keep a close eye.<br />
May the soup had more salt and made me retain more water&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Whatever&#8230;<br />
</strong>I&#8217;m feeling good and fell like I am really on track&#8230;</p>
<p>In regards to The Goal Workshop&#8230;Yes, I offered it to the<br />
people in my church, but the fact is, I needed to do for my<br />
own goals too!</p>
<p><strong>My Weight Goal For 2008?</strong><br />
<strong>I would like to be down to 225lbs by 12-31-2008.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Yesterday was a challenging day, specifically<br />
after 7:30 pm&#8230;Food cravings&#8230;</strong></p>
<p>About an hour after dinner I was watching <strong>Donald Trumps<br />
Celebrity Aprentice Show</strong>&#8230;On the show they were selling<br />
<strong>New York City Hot Dogs</strong>!</p>
<p><strong>As I was watching,</strong> it braught me back to the days when<br />
I lived on the east coast and went to New York&#8230;I almost<br />
always baught a hot dog and or a big pretzel from a street<br />
vendor when I was there&#8230;</p>
<p>As I was watching the show I realized I<strong> started craving<br />
having a hot dog</strong>&#8230;The present diet I am on will not<br />
allow that. But I was actually getting ancy over<br />
wanting this stupid freakin hot dog&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>So I turned off the </strong>TV and practiced my guitar&#8230;I went<br />
to bed early. Slept pretty well. I am surprised I have not had<br />
any headachs from NOT driniking diet coke, which I usually<br />
drank 3-5 a day.</p>
<p>Any way, here are my stats for the DAY 4&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Starting Weight</strong>: 348.5 lbs.<br />
<strong>Todays Weight</strong>:   339 lbs.</p>
<p><strong>Exercise:<br />
Treadmill:</strong> 45 Minutes<br />
<strong>Speed:</strong> 2.5 -3.0 mph<br />
<strong>Miles</strong>: 2.02<br />
<strong>Calories Burned</strong>: 386</p>
<p><strong>Blood Pressure</strong>: 134/84<br />
<strong>Heart Beat</strong>: 101</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t know why my heart beat is up??</p>
<p>That&#8217;s all for now&#8230;</p>

<p>I had my alarm set for 7am to go to the gym<br />
and workout,</strong> but I hit the snooze button!</p>
<p><strong>Then at 7:15</strong> I hit the snooze button.<br />
Then at 7:30 I hit the snooze button.<br />
Then at 7:45 I hit the snooze button again!<br />
 <br />
<strong>I just didn&#8217;t want to get up</strong> and go to the gym.<br />
It is cold for Las Vegas and I just did&#8217;nt want<br />
to get all dressed up and drive to the gym&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>I heard that little voice inside</strong> saying, ah,<br />
just stay in bed and then shower and start working&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>At 8am my alarm went off again and I jumped</strong> out of<br />
bed.Rushed to get my gym cloths on and drove to the gym.</p>
<p><strong>As soon as I get there I weigh in&#8230;<br />
Starting Weight</strong>: 348.5 lbs.<br />
<strong>Todays Weight</strong>:   341 lbs. (Hip-Hip Hurray!)<br />
Yes, I lost 5 pounds since yesterday!</p>
<p><strong>Exercise</strong>:<br />
<strong>Treadmill:</strong> 47 Minutes<br />
<strong>Speed:</strong> 2.5 -3.0 mph<br />
<strong>Miles:</strong> 2.01<br />
<strong>Calories Burned:</strong> 389</p>
<p><strong>Blood Pressure:</strong> 137/91<br />
<strong>Heart Beat:</strong> 89</p>
<p>I was shocked that I lost 5 pounds in a day,<br />
but I&#8217;m happy.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s all for now&#8230;</p>

What if I binge?<br />
What if I cheat just a litte?</p>

<p>Well it is Day 2 and as of this moment I feel fine.<br />
I feel like I am on track.</p>

<p>Didn&#8217;t that headline have a nice ring to it&#8230;</p>
<p>I lost 100 Pounds!</p>
<p><strong>The reality is, I am just starting my weight loss</strong><strong>journey once again. Since August of 2001 till the present</p>
<p></strong>I have worked at my weightlosss off and on.</p>
<p><strong>I wasn&#8217;t always fat or a big guy</strong> as some people call me.</p>
<p>Back in 1998 I quit smoking and the following 6 months</p>
<p>I gained 50 pounds! Then about 2 weeks after that something</p>
<p>really ticked my off and I started smoking again&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Then as I was looking over the Las Vegas strip</strong> from the</p>
<p>top of the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino, I said to myself</p>
<p><strong>now I&#8217;m just a fat smoker!</strong> Crap!</p>
<p><strong>Well I stopped smoking again and gained</strong> another 75 pounds</p>
<p>over the next few years. Then 2 weeks before 9/11 I started</p>
<p>the Atkins diet the first time and lost about 25 pounds.</p>
<p><strong>I was excited and motivated</strong> that I had found something</p>
<p>that was going to work for me&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Then September 11, 2001 happened&#8230;</strong><strong>I remember saying to my girlfriend, ok diets over we&#8217;re going to</p>
<p></strong>PF Changs for dinner, where I went off my diet, big time.</p>
<p><strong>I&#8217;ve been on a yo-yo ever since.</strong> Yes, I have had people</p>
<p>offering to help me. Yes, I have had certain things or events</p>
<p>inspire for a time.</p>
<p><strong>It hit me over this past Christmas</strong> that I have been really struggling with my weight for close to 10 years and I need to change.</p>
<p>So, this <strong>Christmas I made yet another committment</strong> to myself, my girlfriend Vickie, and a few freinds that i would give it another try.</p>
<p><strong>Over the next 101 Days I will post</strong> my daily Exercise and</p>
<p>Food diary. I&#8217;m going to share the good, bad and ugly!</p>
<p><strong>With that being said&#8230;</strong></p>
<p>I will have photo&#8217;s and Video posted on a regular basis</p>
<p>so make sure to come back and visit me&#8230;Ok!</p>
<p><strong>My Goal is to lose at least 100 pounds</strong> by July 2008 and</p>
<p>then climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzenia in East Africa.</p>
<p>MT. Kilimanjaro stands 19,343 FT and is the tallest mountain</p>
<p>in Africa&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Why do I want to climb Mt Kilimanajro?</strong><strong>You&#8217;ll have to come back see another day to</p>
<p></strong>see what inspired to want to accomplish this goal.</p>
<p><strong>Today I did go to the gym</strong>.</p>

<p><strong>Blood Presssure</strong>: 161/95</p>
<p><strong>Heart Rate</strong>: 91</p>
<p>Sat in jacuzzi for 15 minutes and then did a Steam room for 5minutes.</p>
