I wasn’t always a big/fat guy. Growing up I was very active
in sports. I actually wrestled 112lbs in High School…
My significant weight gain did not start until I
moved from Connecticut to the west coast in 1997…
I quit smoking in 1997 and about 6 months later I realized I
had gained 50 pounds. Then I started smoking again. Then
shortly after that realized now I was just a Fat Smoker!
So I quit smoking again, and then gained an additional hundred
pounds!
As all that was happening, I changed my eatting and physical
exercise habbits. I started working behind the computer 10-12
hours a day. I wasn’t active any more. Plus, it wasn’t fun to be
active anymore. It was work.
Then 3 weeks before 9/11 I started the Atkins diet the first time
and lost about 31 pounds. The weight flew off my body.
That evening of 9/11 I turned to Vickie and said we’re going to
PF Changs for dinner…Chinese food!
I have been on a roller coaster ever since. I did break 300 lbs
for about 3 days about 2 years ago, but I got off track again and
I started this adventure at my all time high weight of 348.5
Well that’s the short story…
I know it took a long time to get to this weight and I need to
be patient about changing my habbits.
I’d be lying if I said I was not a hessitant and a bit nervous
about trying this again.
In 2005 I went on retreat on a for Entreprtenuers to Tahiti.
This was my first cruise.
This is where I met Werner Berger.
His website is: Meet Me At The Top.com…
I heard him give an inspiring presentation
about his goals to climb the 7 Summits which includes,
Kilmanjaro and Mt Everest….As of this writing
he successfully all 7 Summits including the bigg daddy…
Mt. Everest!
Oh, by the way, Werner is 71 years old! To the best of
my knowledge he is the oldest man in North America to climb
Mt. Everest…
His inspiring presentation inspired me to want to climb
Mt. Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania Africa….19,340 feet!
Well I got started working out again and ran into
health problems. My blood pressure was 200/140!
That’s when I met Dr.Kodow Dickson in Las Vegas.

He is the one that has helped me get my blood pressure
back on track.

I have had a number of people inspire me over the last few years to
lose this weight and get my health back…Here are just a few.
* There is Mark Victor Hansen from “Chicken Soup For The Soul”…
He’s been encouraging me for 2 years.
* My honey Vickie Pieper has been a huge encourager…

* My excellent freind Kevin Davis that got me my first book on Mt Kilimanjaro
once he heard I wanted to climb it. Also has helped me big time setting this blog up.
* Olympic Trainer Scott Sanchez is on my TEAM MPG.
* My great friend and Piano player Doug Taylor
* Dr. Gold my mentor. Dr. Gold Website DirectOpticalCenter.com
* My Dad, Joe LeBlanc
* The Show “The Biggest Loser”.
* Stu Mclaren - The Stuster! Great Marketer and Fantastic Friend.MyIdeaGuy.com
* Montel Williams - I met him in Atlanta 2006
*Carl Galletti - Speaker, Author Marketer Carl Galletti.com
* Gary Turner - We met a few years back at an entreprenurail event.
Been great friends ever since.
* Then of Course there is Slyvestor Stallone, AKA “Rocky Balboa”.
* My Brother Michael, Steve, Sister Val, Suzie, Sammy, Amanda, Angelica, Colett…
All these people above have inspired me in one way or another.
What made “Rocky Balboa” so inspiring is Vickie and I got small
roles in final Rocky Balboa movie. We were
high rollers ring side during the fight scene. We got to see
“Rcoky” upclose and saw a 59 year old man totslly ripped.
This was inspiring!

But I now know one can not live on inspiration alone.
There needs to be a plan and ACTION!
No action no results…
So now, I am at it once again…
I know there will be bumps and challenges on this journey.
However, now I am better preparred for the bumps. I know
it isn’t a matter of if but when these bumps come.
Will I still stumble? Yes
Will I get off track from time to time? Probably, but hopefully not to far.
I have this on my wall…
This is a quote from the last “Rocky Balboa” movie…
It hangs on my wall in my office…
“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and
nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you
to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about
how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get it and keep
moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving
forward. That’s how winning is done!”
So, Im just gonna keeping getting up and moving forward!
That’s my story and Im sticking to it!
